SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL
On the City Council, I focused on one of Utah’s biggest challenges—housing.
Led a historic $27 million housing fund to help working Utahns afford to live where they work.
Modernized zoning to allow Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)—a pro-housing, pro-neighborhood reform that helped increase supply without changing community character.
This was early, practical leadership to build more housing—before it was politically easy.
SERVING UTAH IN WASHINGTON
After the Legislature, I was asked by President Biden to serve at the Export-Import Bank of the United States. There, I worked on:
Global trade and commercial diplomacy
Investing in jobs and manufacturing in America
Building our industrial base to stay competitive with China and Russia
Bringing good-paying jobs back to America
That experience taught me how Washington really works—and how hard you have to fight to make it work for people.
